ANOTHER AWESOME DAY AT THE OTTER LAKE PARK
34th ANNUAL BOOSTER CLUB CHICKEN DINNER
First of all I want to thank all the members and other volunteers that again gave up their time to support me and the Otter Lake Booster Club to make this event successful again this year!
As I walked around the pavilion on Sunday it was evident that everyone was enjoying themselves with the food, music, and the raffles. I talked to many people that said this was one of the best chicken dinners they have had this summer. Great job cooks!
We had individuals and companies from the surrounding area that donated products for our raffles. I would like to suggest that we try to support them in any way we can. They were:
Julian Symbal, (Julian Symbal's Transport) Jane & Greg Prosecky, (Cedar Ridge Camp Ground) Kwiktrip, Yellow Stone Cheese, Mike Folczyk, (Folczyk Sugar Bush) Pete & Dawn Roth, (Roth Sugar Bush) Cheryl Olin, (Culligan Water) and Boyd Catering.
Other companies that help support this event were: Otter Lake Bait and Camp Store, Hansen's IGA, and Gordy's. Please support these sponsors.
On behalf of myself and the Otter Lake Boosters I again want to thank everyone that came out and supported this event.
ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS BENIFIT GO BACK INTO OTTER LAKE !!!!!!!
We look forward to having you at our dinner again next year.

7/9/15 - HOT! Drifting for pan fish seems to give the best results as nice ones seem a bit scattered. Crappies are active but many smaller ones being caught. We caught 13 keeper panfish & one 15 1/2" walleye fore noon today. PLEASE be aware of all fishermen when moving about on the lake. Remember that there is NO WAKE within 100 feet of any anchored or drifting fishermen. Be courteous to others. Thanks and Tight Lines!
6/22/15 - Fishing has been relatively good even though it has rained a plenty. The Annual Stanley Sportsmans Club Fishing Contest was very successful despite rain and some very large walleyes were caught. From what I hear, everyone caught fish and had a great time at the breakfast and during the contest. Thank you to all the workers and participants. See you at the Chicken Feed July 19th.
6/3/15 - Some nice sized gills & crappie are being caught. This coming week of warmth should bring the panfish into the shallows. Bass are again abundant.
3/10/15 - Wow! Still several fisherman driving on Otter with full sized vehicles and ATVs and fishing. Last report I have is that the fish have bit but are smaller so you have to work for them. There is a lot of standing water on top with reports of ice being over 20" thick yet. Very ominous looking however, too much for this ole guy!
1/10/15 - Saturday, January 10th the Stanley Rod and Gun Club held their fishing contest on Otter Lake. It was a little cold but a lot of nice fish were caught and all the fish categories were filled. There were a lot of fishermen & women on the lake. The ice was 18" to 24" thick so the vehicle traffic is picking up a little. We hope that everyone is having a great New Year!! Gary Fritz
12/10/14 - Wow! Some nice crappie are being caught with some limits of bluegills also. Not sure exact sizes of Gills but there are many fishermen out there now with some permanent shanties scattered around the lake. I hear reports from Otter Lake Bait Shop of anywhere from 8" to 10" of Ice.
12/6/14 - ATVs & Shanties are starting to show up on the lake. I know fishermen are getting some pan fish but I am not sure about sizes at this point. I will report soon on catches.
Have a great great day on Otter. Tight Lines & Good Luck.
